Advanced Clinical MR Angiography course
Dear Members and Friends,
We are happy to inform you that places are still available at the upcoming Advanced Clinical MR Angiography course.
Under the roof of the well established ESMRMB School of MRI teaching programme for physicians and technicians Prof. Van der Lugt (Rotterdam, NL) has invited a renowned faculty for this 2.5 days course with 50% case-based interactive teaching in small groups.
The course will be hosted by Dr. Rafaela Soler and take place at the Complejo Hospitalario Universitario A Coruna from October 21-23, 2010.
The following topics will be covered:
• Non contrast-enhanced MRA
• CEMRA, k-space strategies for MRA
• Black-blood techniques
• Image processing
• Intracranial circulation
• Carotid arteries and plaque imaging
• Contrast agents
• Spinal arteries
• Thoracic aorta / Pulmonary vessels
• Coronary MRA
• Abdominal vessels / Renal arteries
• Peripheral and Whole Body MRA
The rapid development in the field of non-invasive MRA in the past years has shown that this technology is no longer in its infancy. Modern MRA technologies are applied not only in basic research but also in early detection, diagnosis, staging as well as in therapy monitoring of vascular diseases. In a multitude of applications MR angiography has already replaced Digital Subtraction Angiography (DSA) and is competing with Doppler ultrasound and CT angiography.
